Choosing the Right Glass Thickness

All Glass Squad Juliet balconies are manufactured using Toughened Laminated Safety Glass (ESG/VSG) with polished edges.

13.52 mm

66.2 ESG / VSG

Compact & Cost-Effective: Best suited for smaller domestic French door openings (up to ~1300–1400 mm daylight opening). Lighter weight for simpler handling.

17.52 mm

88.2 ESG / VSG

The Industry Benchmark: The standard specification for most residential openings up to 2100 mm. Delivers high structural rigidity and minimal deflection.

21.52 mm

1010.2 ESG / VSG

Maximum Span & High Wind Zones: Required for extra-wide openings up to 3000 mm or higher building elevations subject to increased wind load requirements.

How It Works

01

Measure Opening

Measure the clear daylight width between brickwork or reveal walls. We calculate the exact glass tolerances automatically.

02

Select Thickness & Finish

Choose 13.52 mm, 17.52 mm, or 21.52 mm glass, followed by your profile or standoff hardware finish in the configurator.

03

CNC Fabrication

Glass is cut, polished, tempered, and laminated to exact dimensions in our processing plant.

04

Site Delivery

Delivered direct via dedicated fragile glass vehicles complete with all gaskets, screws, and installation diagrams.

Frequently Asked Questions

When can I use 13.52 mm glass instead of 17.52 mm?

13.52 mm is suitable for openings up to 1300–1400 mm wide meeting the 0.74 kN/m domestic barrier load. For wider openings, 17.52 mm or 21.52 mm is mandatory to maintain compliance.

Do I need holes drilled in the glass for the Reveal-Fit system?

No. The Side Profile system uses vertical clamping with EPDM gaskets. Standoff bolt systems require CNC pre-drilled holes.

Can the Standoff system bridge external cavity wall insulation?

Yes. When mounting onto an insulated render (EWI) or clad façade, we supply extended stainless steel threaded rods combined with structural spacer tubes to transfer the load directly into the underlying structural masonry.
